2025 Applied Microeconomics Conference on Economic Opportunity

  • Heyns Room, The Faculty Club UC Berkeley, 2594 Hearst Avenue Berkeley, CA, 94720 United States (map)

On May 21st, join the Opportunity Lab for our second annual Applied Microeconomics Conference on Economic Opportunity. Building on the success of last year's inaugural event, which brought together researchers from across campus to share groundbreaking work on poverty and inequality, this year's conference promises further exploration of evidence-based approaches to economic mobility.

This all-day event will feature research presentations from faculty and lightning talks from graduate students exploring economic opportunity in the United States — spanning themes including regional economic development, criminal justice, and the social safety net. Hosted at the Faculty Club, the conference will provide an opportunity for members of the O-Lab network and the broader campus community to discuss ongoing research projects in applied microeconomics. In addition to breakfast and lunch, the event will conclude with drinks and mingling on the Faculty Club patio.

Though we would like to accommodate everyone, seating at this event is limited; please register promptly to secure your spot. We look forward to seeing you at this year’s conference!
