Description:

The keynote address by Prof. Christina Romer, former Chair of President Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers, will discuss the policy agenda facing the next president, and the key role that rigorous evidence can play in shaping economic policy.

Prof. David Card, winner of the John Bates Clark Prize for most distinguished young American economist, will discuss his new research on gifted education programs and the role they can play in providing a pathway out of poverty for talented but economically disadvantaged children. 

Prof. Enrico Moretti, author of the award-winning book "The New Geography of Jobs", will discuss innovation clusters, and the role of housing policy in promoting - or impeding - job growth in U.S. cities, including the Bay Area.
